Setup
RevenueCat setup
Add us as a collaborator so we can wire up your subscriptions.
RevenueCat sits between your app and the App Store. It decides who has an active subscription and who does not, and it is the record we both read your app revenue from.
The account is yours. Your subscribers, your revenue and the export stay under your name. We are a collaborator inside it, not the owner.
Create the project
Sign up at app.revenuecat.com with the email you want to own the account long term, not a throwaway. Create one project for your app.
Invite us
Open Project settings in the bottom-left menu.

Open the Collaborators tab.

Enter krogharro@gmail.com, choose the Administrator role, and click Invite.

Administrator is what we need to create products, configure entitlements and connect the App Store. Anything less and the setup stalls halfway.
What we do from here
We create the products, wire them to the App Store Connect keys you sent us, set up the entitlement your app checks, and connect the webhooks that tell our backend when someone subscribes or cancels.
You do not have to touch any of it. What is worth knowing is what the dashboard tells you, because it is the same number our invoice is based on.
Reading your numbers
The RevenueCat overview shows active subscriptions, trials, revenue and churn. Two things to know before you read too much into an early chart:
- Revenue shown is before Apple's cut. Apple keeps 15% or 30% depending on how long a subscriber has been with you. What lands in your bank is less than what the chart says.
- The first weeks are noisy. Trials, refunds and cancellations move the numbers around before any pattern is real.
How the revenue share works explains which of those numbers our 40% is calculated from.
