FAQ
Ownership, exclusivity, leaving, and the questions creators actually ask.
Who owns the app?
You own the app as your audience sees it: the App Store listing, the name, the brand, the subscribers and the revenue. Both the Apple and RevenueCat accounts are in your name.
We own what makes it work underneath: the code, the backend, the templates and the infrastructure. That is what the revenue share pays for, and it is why we can build an app in days rather than months.
What happens if I want to leave?
Either of us can end it with 14 days notice. You keep your brand, your accounts, your store listing and your data. We take the app and the backend offline, because the app runs on infrastructure we operate and there is nothing to hand over that would keep working on its own.
If you want to keep operating the app after leaving, that is a separate transition project we would have to agree and price. It is not something you get automatically, and we would rather say that plainly now than surprise you later.
Am I locked into anything?
No minimum term, no notice period beyond 14 days, no penalty. The only obligation is the promotion commitment in the first 30 days, and if you do not meet it we take the page down rather than bill you for anything.
Can I work with other app companies?
Yes. Nothing here is exclusive. We would rather you did not build a competing app under the same brand while we are running this one, for the obvious reason that it splits your own audience.
Do you use my name in your marketing?
Yes, and you agree to that when you sign up. We name you as a customer and show the app, the landing page and design work as portfolio and case studies. We do not publish your revenue, your subscriber data, or anything you mark confidential.
You can withdraw that permission for future publications by telling us. Things already published stay published.
What if the app makes no money?
Then we make no money. That is the deal and we knew it going in — our 40% only exists on payments that actually happen through your checkout.
What we do ask is that the app got a fair shot: a link in your bio, real posts, an actual attempt at a launch. An app nobody was told about has not been tested, it has just been ignored.
Do I need my own domain?
Not to start. Your landing page runs on a subdomain of officeos.co. If you want it on a domain you own, tell us and we will move it. The subdomain stays ours either way.
How much of my time does this take?
The setup steps are about an hour total, spread over a few days while Apple verifies things. After that it is answering the occasional email and promoting the app to your own audience.
We do not need weekly calls and we do not run status meetings.
Who do I talk to?
Email, for everything. Reply to anything we send and it goes straight to the people building your app — there is no support queue and nothing new to sign up for.
