Setup

Apple setup

Team ID, API keys, certificates and the invite that lets us submit your app.

Publishing under your own Apple account takes a few steps. Work through the sections in order. Each one ends with a file to send us or an invite to accept. If a step is unclear, reply to any email from us rather than guessing.

You need a paid Apple Developer account before any of this works. If you do not have one yet, start at developer.apple.com/programs — Apple charges $99 a year and can take a day or two to verify you.

Team ID

Go to developer.apple.com/account, scroll to your membership details, and copy the Team ID. Send it to us.

App Store Connect API key

Go to App Store Connect integrations. Create a key, download the file, and send it to us.

Apple lets you download the key exactly once. Save it before you leave the page, otherwise you have to revoke it and start over.

In-app purchase key

Go to the in-app purchase keys page. Create the key, download the file, and send it to us. Same one-download rule as above.

Invite us

Go to Users and Access and add us with the Admin role so we can manage and submit your app.

Admin is what Apple requires for the submission and agreement steps. You can downgrade or remove our access at any time, and you should remove it if we ever stop working together.

Create your app

Go to your apps, create a new app, and give it a name that matches your brand. If the name you want is taken, tell us before you settle for a worse one — there is usually a way around it.

One thing people forget

Apple will not pay you until your banking and tax details are complete in App Store Connect under Agreements, Tax, and Banking. We cannot fill those in for you, and an app can be live and selling for weeks before anyone notices the money is sitting in a holding account. Do it now.
